Standing Guard

Standing Guard

Standing Guard. Image taken from a small boat in Langkawi, Malaysia. This male was quite aggressive toward us and protective of the females and babies in the troop, he would run up and challenge us whilst flashing his formidable set of teeth, then take some fruit and sit and observe us. 🙂

I’ve watched scenes here in the Cape, where baboons out-manuevre people when it comes to food. The alpha males especially know how to ‘scare’ with their fangs …..
