Hi Everyone,
I will be flying back to the UK for Christmas this year so I will not be posting any images until early January so I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I do hope Father Christmas does not end up on the front of our plane as we fly back!
Take care and enjoy 🙂
Cheers
Mark

On Our Way Up.
Image taken on our drive up to the summit of the Mauna Kea Volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii, this image was take at about 10,000ft above sea level, were already well above the clouds at this point and with 4,000ft still to go. You need a 4 x 4 vehicle to get to the summit due to the severity of the track. This drive is not for the faint hearted, especially after sunset.
Well here we are in Hawaii the islands of Fire and Water so the next posts will be from here, a combination of images taken during our travels around the Big Island, images from my mobile phone, underwater camera and of course my trust Leica. Its a shame but due to the US Government shutdown all the National Parks and Monuments are closed which include the Kilauea Volcano 😦

Wedding Invitation.
These beautiful Wedding Invitations are hand painted outside the homes of the Bride to be for all to see, inviting the neighbourhood to the wedding, to share the festivities and wish them well in the Hindu spirit.
